The Austerity of Indian Politicians

The recent topic of discussion after YSR issue, for the media has been the travel of ministers to various parts of the country by economy class in flights. I mean, what is so significant about this?? Don’t they have better topics to discus on? States of India are not co-operating with the HRD ministry’s setting up of a council that would review the text books of all states to check if the syllabus confirm to the values of the Constitution of India. This is something that has to be concentrated on. There are many other important news which need to be given importance but, the media has just publish them as some random news item with no importance to them while, ministers who travel by economy class come on the headlines… Firstly, these ministers are doing no sacrifice by traveling in economy class and secondly they are not paying the airfare. It’s all people’s money that’s going in to it. Why don’t media question that rather than giving each of them cheap publicity??? If publicity is all that they want they shouldn’t have chosen to walk in to politics. But in our country politicians and film stars are the ones who earn publicity for such trivial happenings. Unless, the people of India question all this, nothing good is going to come out of neither the media nor our ministers
